Citizen in the Community Merit Badge Class June 11th

Posted on Jun 7 2019 - 8:39pm

David Eligator will be conducting the Citizen of the Community Merit Badge Class this Tuesday June 11 at 7pm at St. Paul's Church - Brewer Hall.  Please print and bring the CotC workbook and pamphlet. Please sign up on the Troop website.

Citizen of the Community is an Eagle Scout required merit badge. We recommend that Scout who have acheived Star and Life attend this class.

Reviewing the merit badge pamphlet PRIOR to attending and doing preparation work will insure that Scouts get the most out of this class. The merit badge pamphlet is a wealth of information that can make earning a merit badge a lot easier. It contains many of the answers and solutions needed or can at least provide direction as to where one can find the answers.

Citizen in Society patch

The Boy Scouts of America announced the launch of the Citizenship in Society merit badge, its newest merit badge for youth in the Scouts BSA program (ages 11-17). The new merit badge encourages Scouts to explore important topics around diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical leadership and learn why these qualities are important in society and in Scouting. Beginning July 1, 2022, the Citizenship in Society merit badge will be required for any youth seeking to achieve the prestigious Eagle Scout rank.
