Congratulations to our newly awarded Eagle Scouts

Posted on Jul 17 2020 - 7:47pm

Troop 28 is thrilled to announce our newly awarded Eagle Scouts: Justin T., Nikhil V., TJ D.

The Eagle Scout award is a performance based achievement, the standards for which have been well maintained over the years. Only 4% of all Boy Scouts achieve this rank. Requirements must be fulfilled in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor skills. The candidates are required to advance through the ranks - Scout, Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Star, Life and Eagle. To advance, specific tests, organized by requirements and merit badges must be passed.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Congratulations to our Troop's newest Eagle Scouts!

Posted on Mar 16 2018 - 8:04am
For ALL Scouts interested in Cooking Merit Badge (it's not too late to join the Spring Class)

We had a great first meeting for Scouts working on Cooking Merit Badge.  We covered the first three requirements of Health/Safety, Nutrition, and Cooking Basics. See Attendee list below.

As we discussed, the next step is to prepare menus, food lists, and pricing for three types of cooking situations, using the meal planning templates you received at our meeting, including  Cooking at Home, Camp Cooking, and Trail Meals.  If you don't have the templates, go to:
