Greetings new and returning families

Posted on Aug 19 2022 - 3:05pm

We are SO excited to see you at our annual Welcome Back Family Picnic Sunday August 21st at 4:30 pm. The whole family is invited! We have reserved the bocce courts and BBQ grills in Washington Park. The troop will provide BBQs, charcoal, paper goods and bocce balls. Bring your favorite lawn game - like cornhole or giant connect4!

Each family should bring their own entree for grilling, and a potluck side dish, salad or dessert to share. Please register your attendance on the website so we know how many are coming. It's also helpful if you note what potluck dish you'll bring.

I need 2-3 adults who can help me before and during the event. Please email me at secretarytroop28@gmail.com if you can donate 1 hour of your time.

Thanks, Marcy K. - troop secretary

Happy New Year from Troop 28

Posted on Dec 28 2020 - 9:53am

It goes without saying that 2020 will go down as a year like no other, where we lost freedoms that we take for granted, none greater than the ability to socialize face to face with family and friends. We have seen this impact on Scouting since March, turning upside down how we normally deliver every day activities and most especially cancelling our scouting events. We must remember restrictions placed upon us all have been in response to the most significant pandemic in living memory where many have lost their lives. Troop 28 wishes you all and your families a very happy New Year. We look forward to brighter days ahead!!
